Another Successful
Tourney; Donation to CCBF

The 10th Annual South Side Invitational
Washers Tournament raised $5,000 for
the Carondelet Community Betterment
Federation. A check was presented to Sr.
Mary Ann Nestel, csj, Executive Director of
the CCBF, by Rick Hastey and Dan Kriss,
tournament chairpersons.
"We were happy to present this donation
behalf of our tournament players, SqWires
our presenting sponsor, and all of our
other sponsors," said Hastey. "The
tournament day was spectacular and
we're so happy we could help out CCBF
again this year. It was a great way to
celebrate the 10th year of the tourney."
This year's tournament was held on
September 17, 2009 in Carondelet Park in
South St. Louis, Missouri.
Started in 2000, The South Side Invitational
Washers Tournament changed its
structure to a charity event in 2003. The
all-volunteer tournament has given
$37,652.29 to the CCBF over six years.
